Book Club - Nightwatching by Tracy Sierra

In this episode of Literature on the Rocks

We’re locking our doors, checking the basement twice, and diving into the unsettling world of Nightwatching by Tracy Sierra. This book club episode had us spiraling in the best way—questioning our home security systems, debating every last plot twist, and even imagining an alternate ending where surprise! the husband is just in a coma. (Don’t worry, we spiral responsibly… mostly.)

This book didn’t just spook us—it stuck with us. We unpack the raw panic and resilience of motherhood in crisis, how quickly safety can become an illusion, and what we would do if the Corner Man came creeping into our own homes. Oh, and speaking of the Corner Man… we may or may not have written him a theme song. You’re welcome and we’re sorry.

Tracy Sierra delivered a chilling debut that had us sleeping with the lights on, and this episode is our tribute to the fierce, flawed, and unforgettable mom at the center of it all.

If you're steering clear of the hard stuff this week, we've got the perfect mocktail to keep your senses sharp and your hands warm on those long, paranoid nights...
