In this episode of Literature on the Rocks

we are back in the dungeon for our book club discussion of Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman, and somehow the conversation took a turn into AI foot fetish territory faster than any of us expected. Yes, we went there. And yes, Rachel who will confidently blast smut on full volume in her car suddenly felt the need to turn the sound down when the dungeon AI started getting a little too enthusiastic about feet. It was one of those moments that proves this series is equal parts epic survival story and completely unhinged comedy.

Beyond the laughter, we spent time digging into Carl’s refusal to be broken. We talked about what it means to hold onto yourself when a system is designed to control you and whether we have faced moments in our own lives where grit mattered more than comfort.

And then , of course we had to discuss the ultimate question. If we were dropped into the dungeon tomorrow under the same rules as Book One, what would actually take us out first, and what hidden strength might surprise us. Let’s just say not all of us are confident in our cardio, but we might have other tricks up our sleeves.

To keep things on theme with our Dirty Shirley inspired cocktail from the summary episode, we kept the mocktail simple, bright, and a little nostalgic.
